Development and problems in the spread of new improved rice varieties in Central Java Province

To support increased rice production, the government is trying to increase use of superior varieties in farming. In line with this, a study has been carried out aimed at analyzing developments, problems distribution, and farming improved varieties. The research was conducted Central Java Province 2020. sample consisted 30 farmers various institutions related this study. Data analysis quantitatively descriptively qualitatively. results showed that distribution (2015-2019) dominated by Ciherang (31.5%) IR64 (18.1%) varieties, while new variety Inpari had only 3.9% spread. Problems faced include: limited availability good quality seeds, low yield productivity, insufficient resistance pests diseases. MT-II 2020, profits for 32 respectively, are IDR. 9.5 million IDR 11.0 per hectare season. order spread it necessary provision seeds high productivity potential, pilots from programs.
